Our Team

  • Katy Bateman

Katy has been practicing yoga since her early 20’s, and first started teaching yoga in 2010. As a Yoga Alliance Registered Senior Yoga Teacher, her teaching style and practice has shifted and changed over this period, but has always stayed aligned and connected to the teaching principals of Anusara® yoga. Now an Anusara-Inspired yoga teacher, Katy is thrilled to share her passion for a school of yoga that has helped shaped not just her practice, but emotional and spiritual life.

Katy teaches classes and workshops at studios, festivals and events national and internationally. She’s thrilled to team up with the wonderful Chloë Faulkner to offer retreats in Europe and globally.

Initially teaching children's yoga through SE London, Katy was able to combine her degree in Drama, Applied Theatre and Education to help children learn yoga through play, engage with their imaginations, and feel confidant expressing themselves verbally, physically and emotionally. It was a quick progression to her YA 200 certification, under the guidance of Bridget Woods - Kramer, who she continues to study with and assist today.

Katy takes great pleasure applying her training as a workshop facilitator, having studied at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, into her yoga classes. Having studied how to use drama as a tool for social and emotional change, it felt like a natural side step to apply this methodology and ethos into her yoga teaching. It also helped greatly in her communication skills as a teacher, and eagerness to develop, teach and empower students in their practice -  which is why elements of class can feel like mini workshops (!)

Katy classes are playful and creative and have a strong focus on safe alignment in every pose.

  • Rosie Callear

Rosie is a Yoga teacher from South London. She has been practicing yoga for more than a decade. In 2020 she began her journey as a teacher, undertaking a 200hour Ashtanga- Vinyasa YTT in London. In 2023 she was drawn to travel to South India to complete an additional 300hour YTT in Vinyasa and Yin. While in India she was inspired by her Pranayama teaching, particularly how beneficial breath practices are for health and mental health. She has a passion for guiding breathwork for its effects on emotional regulation and overall wellbeing.

Rosie draws inspiration from many styles of Yoga, aiming to teach a blend of fire and stillness. Her approach is influenced by many years working in mental health services and passion for holding yoga session in therapeutic spaces. Accessibility and tuning into the right option today is encouraged. Feeling into sensation and creating distance from the mental chatter is where she wants to guide students. Let's grow and glow together.

  • Sam Mason

Sam first came to yoga in his teens, after spotting a DVD in Woolworths featuring a sequence from Yoga Teacher and Lycra pioneer Barbara Currie.

Having suffered with leg pain all his life as a result of being born with a talipes foot (a club foot to save you googling), he found that with gentle, consistent practice, he was able to explore movement and flexibility, and was able to fall in love with his body again.

This, combined with discovering the power of yogic and Buddhist philosophy to help quiet a busy Gender Queer modern mind, led him to complete his YTT with Yogarise in 2020.

Expect a strong, inquisitive practice with time to explore new limits, peppered with moments of joy and existential unknowing. Always capped off by a long, gorgeous, and well-earned Savasana.

  • Zinzi Blakebrough-Miller

Zinzi is a wholehearted holistic wellbeing practitioner who works with integrative therapeutic counselling, Yoga and massage therapy. Her journey into these practices was born out of personal struggles and a deep quest for peace and balance. With 14 years of dedicated yoga practice and almost a decade of teaching experience across London, she specialises in Vinyasa Yoga, Mandala Vinyasa, Yin Yoga and somatic work.

These practices became her sanctuary and supported her in rebuilding her sense of self. She emphasises the importance of listening to your body and respecting the unique anatomy, personal history and energy of each individual.

Movement has always been her medicine, but she has discovered that integrating the stillness and surrender of massage therapy with the self-exploration encouraged by counselling and psychotherapy is the key to honouring all parts of ourselves as human beings.

Her work is known for being nurturing and supportive and she provides a mindful and compassionate environment. Zinzi’s personal history has not only shaped her as a practitioner but also fuel her passion to help others find their own paths to wellbeing.

  • Imogen Croft

My classes cater to the bodies in the room first and foremost. My classes are inclusive and I will always provide options for everyone to progress or regress movements. I love to blend a mixture of both strengthening and lengthening exercises.

There will be a strong emphasis on breath, precision and concentrated movement. We will work on improving core and full-body strength. I want you to feel both challenged and stretched.

My aim is for you to leave class feeling taller, calmer and stronger. I want to promote functional movement and I hope for clients to be able to use the skills learned in Pilates to benefit daily life activities, whether that be shopping, training in the gym, running or walking the dog.

  • Anu Menon

Born and raised in India, Anu was immersed in spiritual practices from an early age. However, it was during a personal crisis that she truly turned to yoga and meditation as a way to reconnect with her body and find stillness. Through dedicated practice, she discovered that yoga is more than movement—it’s a journey of self-discovery, resilience, and inner wisdom—and wants to share what yoga gave her with others.

Anu believes that the real practice of yoga begins off the mat, where discipline, introspection, and acceptance shape our daily lives. Her teaching focuses on self-regulation, mindfulness, and embracing life’s challenges with humility and trust. Through yoga, she empowers students to cultivate strength, focus, and compassion, guiding them toward a deeper connection with themselves and the world around them.

  • Lucy Morfey

I trained as a professional dancer and it was then that I discovered Pilates. I did my training 20 years ago and have been teaching ever since.

  • Larissa Abi

Larissa’s yoga journey began over 15 years ago at the Sivananda Centre, where she quickly discovered how yoga brings balance to a busy London mind.

Experiencing the profound benefits of a regular practice led her to complete her yoga teacher training. Since then, she has developed a deep love for slower practices like Yin, Restorative, and Qigong, which she weaves into her teaching.

Her classes offer a space for deeper connection—an opportunity to slow down, reset, and leave with a sense of calm and release.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (MBACP).

I hold a postgraduate diploma in counselling and psychotherapy and have solid experience working in clinical settings within NHS and private sector mental health services. I also have a background in arts and value creativity.

I approach counselling with a holistic mindset and believe an accepting connection between body and mind is essential for our wellbeing. I am an integrative practitioner, which means I recognise that everybody has different therapeutic needs; this is why I actively listen to you and aim for us to co-create an approach that works for you and your goals.

This might mean resourcing your psycho-education better to understand your emotions and reactions to life events, using psychodynamic principles to investigate how past events affect your current relationships, or using CBT and DBT tools to stimulate change.

I grew up in a multicultural family setting and moved to London as an adult, I am drawn to exploring what makes up our personal and collective identities. In the context of generational family migrations, I am passionate about autonomy, resourcefulness and resilience.

Some of my areas of expertise are:

    Sexuality

    Gender Identity

    Childhood trauma

    Cultural Identity

    Depression and Anxiety

    Emotional dysregulation

    Loss

    Life transitions

    Relationships and dating

    Guilt and Shame

    Coping with societal expectations

    WHAT IS THERAPY LIKE?

During the sessions, you can expect to explore both your current challenges and how past experiences impact your daily life; with the ultimate aim to strengthen your sense of self and build a life that nurtures your needs for enjoyment, achievement and connection. We will delve into your inner world collaboratively with empathic regard for your culture and beliefs.

You might feel nervous or vulnerable at the idea of sharing your personal experience with a new therapist; you might also worry about the stigma of accessing support. This is why we spend time building a warm therapeutic relationship that fosters safety and trust.

The information you share with me during the sessions is confidential unless you are a risk to yourself or someone else. In these cases, I would always endeavour to discuss the need to breach confidentiality with you before taking action.

The first session will be used as an assessment and a space to discuss further the modalities of our working agreement.
